Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its own result. We do not keep a separate log of search terms entered here.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so it can be answered. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may receive technical information about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They and analytics services help measure aggregate use, such as which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Browser settings can block cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This private reference does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case files. It identifies Avoyelles Parish routes to the Avoyelles Parish Clerk of Court, the 12th Judicial District Court, Marksville City Court, Bunkie City Court, and Louisiana login-based access services. Louisiana Public Records Law, including La. R.S. 44:1 and La. R.S. 44:31, does not make this private reference an official record custodian. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention choices, and sharing practices govern material submitted to their tools, not this policy. Review the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to clerk pages, court portals, Louisiana access services, or third-party tools. Once a link leaves this private reference, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across services to deliver interest-based advertising. That processing occurs in their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be received by:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for information received here. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, so a breach-free result cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a minor's information was sent to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Louisiana privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional data rights. The Louisiana court-record framework in La. C.C.P. art. 14.1 also addresses public availability and redaction for official electronic court records, not private-reference visitor data. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
